Joey specializes in finding creative solutions for creative professionals. He has served Austin's creative, business, and non-profit community since 2011.

Joey provides legal services to the entertainment, small business, and non-profit industries in and around central Texas. He was licensed to practice law in Texas in 2011 and opened his office in June 2012. Although he regularly represents musicians, writers, and artists, as well as businesses and non-profits in the creative and technology industries, he has represented a diverse array of clients in various legal matters.

Joey earned his B.A. in Philosophy and German from Rhodes College (Memphis, Tennessee) in 2008 and his J.D. with a concentration in Intellectual Property from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2011. During college Joey was involved with many philanthropic organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Americorps, as well as local non-profits. During law school Joey volunteered with Legal Services of Eastern Missouri and with the local chapter of Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts. He also worked as an intern for the city prosecutor's office.

Joey lives with his wife, Lauren, in North Austin. In his free time Joey enjoys playing, writing, and producing music, going to concerts, trying the many new Austin restaurants, and designing websites. He is a co-founder of a website focused on promoting local musicians in Austin, TX and Nashville, TN called the Foundry Project which will launch soon.
